six seats, one menu, alternate Fridays
We cook one menu for six people in our kitchen, on alternate Friday evenings. There is no choice and no wine list; you bring your own bottle and we open the back door if it gets warm.
It started because we had too many apples and not enough friends to eat them. Four years on, the apples are still the problem.
There is no booking form. The list is kept by hand, and names reach it the way they always have: somebody who has eaten here passes yours on. We cook what the garden and the market give us, so the menu goes out on the Monday before.
